Event Data Schema
The data field in the event payload contains the following structure:
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
feedId | string (uuid) | Yes | ID of the event feed that was updated |
id | string (uuid) | Yes | ID of the event feed item that was updated. Use with [`GET /feeds/events/{feedId}/items/{id}`](/docs/event-feeds/api-reference#get-a-single-feed-item) to fetch the current item. |
eventId | string (uuid) | Yes | ID of the event that was updated |
changedFields | array | Yes | Which groups of the event changed in this update, compared with the previous update, at least one: `title`; `description` (description or short description); `when` (dates or times changed); `where` (the location changed); `links` (the URLs of the event or its sources, who published what, changed); `status` (cancelled or restored); `media` (the cover image or the gallery); `price` (reserved, never sent). A hint, not a complete record: debounce can collapse several updates into the newest one, so earlier changes may be missing. Re-fetch the item on every `event.item.updated`; a cancellation shows as the top-level `status: "cancelled"`. |
Example Payload
Complete example of a CloudEvents-formatted event payload for this event type. The id field is the envelope identifier — stable across retries; use it as your idempotency key.
